Abstract:
Artykuł stanowi jedno z pierwszych opracowań dotyczących zjawiska rastafarianizmu w Polsce, ocenianego z perspektywy słuchaczy muzyki reggae. W pierwszych częściach przedstawiona została geneza Ruchu Rastafari oraz jego charakterystyka. W kolejnych częściach artykułu zawarto wyniki badań ankietowych, przeprowadzonych wśród polskich słuchaczy muzyki reggae, które dotyczyły m. in. sposobów ich identyfikacji z elementami Ruchu Rastafari, postaw społecznych oraz opinii na temat przejawów tego ruchu w Polsce.

The article can be regarded as one of the first studies of the Rastafari phenomenon in Poland, viewed from the perspective of reggae music listeners. The initial parts of the article concentrate on the origin of the Rastafari Movement and its characteristics. The successive parts of the article contain the results of the survey that was conducted among Polish listeners of reggae music.They refer to the ways in which Polish listeners identify themselves with the elements of the Rastafari Movement.They also concern different attitudes towards this movement and various opinions about it in Poland.
