Abstract:
Edukacja kulturalna nierozerwalnie związana jest z pedagogiką kultury. Przed pedagogiką kultury staje
ogromny ciężar szczególnej odpowiedzialności za dokonujący się proces zmian i przeobrażeń w kulturze
współczesnej, nie tylko w skali narodowej, ale także globalnej. dokonujące się przemiany społeczne związane
z pogłębiającym się niejednokrotnie kryzysem w sferze edukacyjnej i wychowawczej, społecznej i gospodarczej,
sprawiają, że dotychczas uznawane za uniwersalne wartości, takie jak np. piękno i prawda, straciły na znaczeniu
w odbiorze społecznym. Stąd też potrzeba zwrócenia szczególnej uwagi na problemy związane z wychowaniem
estetycznym, wychowaniem do uczestnictwa w kulturze. W dobie społeczeństwa konsumpcyjnego
na czoło wysuwają się dziś wartości materialne i społeczne. W związku z powyższym istnieje pilna potrzeba
dokonania przez przedstawicieli różnych dyscyplin naukowych prób przewartościowania akcentów aksjologicznych,
dostosowujących je do aktualnych potrzeb związanych bezpośrednio z pracą, czasem wolnym, rolą
środków masowego przekazu, sztuką i animacją kulturalną oraz uczestnictwem w nich szerokich grup społeczeństwa.
Nowe wyzwania w procesie edukacji kulturalnej stają przed szkołą i instytucjami kulturalnymi,
organizacjami społeczno-kulturalnymi, organizatorami uniwersytetów trzeciego wieku. Nie należy więc pomijać
potrzeby edukacji permanentnej, zarówno adresowanej do ludzi dorosłych pracujących zawodowo, jak i do osób
w wieku poprodukcyjnym. Zadaniem edukacji kulturalnej, a zarazem szeroko pojętej edukacji humanistycznej jest niesienie pomocy
i wsparcia każdej jednostce w dążeniu do poznania wszelkich przejawów życia kulturalnego, a co za tym idzie,
także poszukiwania tych wartości, które nadają humanistyczny sens ich życiu i działaniu w społeczeństwie.

Cultural education is inextricably linked with pedagogy of culture. Pedagogy of culture faces a huge burden of
responsibility for carrying out specific process changes and transformations in contemporary culture, not only
at the national but also global level. Occurring social changes associated with the deepening crisis in educational,
social and economic spheres, make it so far considered as universal values , such as beauty and truth lose
their importance in social perception. hence the need to pay particular attention to the problems of aesthetic
education, education to learn how to participate in the culture. in the era of the consumer society, the material
and social values are the leading ones. Therefore there is an urgent need for the representatives of various
scientific disciplines to make attempts to reevaluate axiological accents and adapting them to the current
needs directly related to work, leisure, the role of the mass media, art and cultural animation and participation
in these by broad groups of the population. in the process of cultural education new challenges arise for
school and cultural institutions, for socio-cultural organizations and organizers of the universities of the third
age (open universities). One should not overlook the need for lifelong learning, both addressed to working
professionals and people at retirement age. The task of cultural education and also humanistic education in broader meaning is to help and support each
individual in the pursuit of acquaintance with all forms of cultural life, and hence, looking for those values that
give humanistic meaning to their lives and action in society.
