Abstract:
Powstanie ukraińskiej świadomości narodowej oraz wysiłki zmierzające do odzyskania
niepodległości Ukraińców były długotrwałym i trudnym procesem. Dążenia te pozostawały
w sprzeczności z interesami szlachty polskiej zamieszkującej zachodnią
Ukrainę. Artykuł przedstawia poglądy Wilhelma Feldmana (1868–1919) na destrukcyjną
rolę, jaką w drugiej połowie XIX. i na początku XX w. odegrało wobec ukraińskich dążeń
niepodległościowych ugrupowanie polityczne podolaków.
Description:
The formation of Ukrainian national consciousness and the way to the independence
of Ukrainians was a long-term and difficult process. The liberation strivings were antithetical
to the interests of Polish gentry that lived in Eastern Ukraine. The paper presents
Wilhelm Feldman’s (1868-1919) views on a destructive role that a political group podolacy
(Podolia People) played with regard to the cause of Ukrainian independence during the
second half of the 19th and at the beginning of the 20th century.
