Abstract:
Public debt is nowadays one of the most important problems of both financial and economic
nature. The economic crisis, being initiated with the collapse on the mortgage market in USA,
contributed to the deterioration of the condition of public finances in many countries world-wide, including Poland. The major part of Polish debt is the debt of the governmental sector but the still growing debt of local governments is worth noticing. The presentation of the afore-mentioned issue is the subject of the present paper.

jest dług publiczny. W pierwszych dwóch częściach publikacji została zaprezentowana definicja długu publicznego i jego dopuszczalne granice. Następnie artykuł przedstawia skale zjawiska, a w ostatnim punkcie koncentruje się za zadłużeniu samorządów, które w ostatnim okresie zanotowało dynamiczny wzrost. Prezentacja długu samorządów była głównym celem niniejszej pracy.
