У статті розглядаються проблемні аспекти відповідності чинного законодавства
України про місцеві вибори європейським стандартам прав людини у сфері виборчого права. Аналізуються законодавчі передумови реалізації принципу чесних виборів і конституційність обмежень виборчих прав за Законом України «Про місцеві вибори».

The article deals with issues of the compatibility of Ukraine’s legislation on local
elections with European human rights standards applicable to the field of electoral law.
Legal requisites for the realization of the principle of fair elections as well as the constitutionality
of restrictions on universal suffrage provided for by the Ukrainian Act «On Local elections» are discussed.
