Abstract:
Artykuł traktuje o fenomenie dystopii, który jako antonimiczne pojęcie utopii może stanowić dla pedagogiki
źródło inspiracji w sensie radykalnego sposobu myślenia o społeczeństwie, człowieku i wychowaniu, antycypując
w postaci jej sceptycznego alter ego skutki realizacji projektów Powszechnej Szczęśliwości, dystopia
może być źródłem pedagogicznego pragmatyzmu i wstrzemięźliwości wobec pedagogicznej „woli mocy”.
Autor analizuje w artykule kolejno: źródłosłów samego terminu „dystopia”, wybrane definicje tego pojęcia,
cechy dystynktywne dystopii, odróżniające ją od anty-utopii czy czarnej utopii, oraz dokonuje przeglądu najbardziej
reprezentatywnych dla gatunku pozycji literackich i filmowych – od starożytności po współczesność,
dokonując przy tym typologizacji charakterystycznych właściwości, składających się na differentia specifica
dystopii.
Description:
The subject of the article is the phenomenon of dystopia which – as an antonymic utopian concept – may be
a source of inspiration for education, a kind of a radical way of thinking about society, man and upbringing,
and as its skeptical alter ego, that anticipates the effects of the projects of the Universal Happiness, dystopia
can be a source of pedagogical pragmatism and moderation of pedagogical “will to power”. In the paper, the
author analyses as follows: etymology of the term dystopia, selected definitions of the concept of dystopia,
distinctive features that distinguish it from the anti-utopia or black utopia; he also reviews the most representative
for the genre literary works and feature movies – from antiquity to the present day – and that way
extracts intrinsic properties of dystopia which make up its differentia specifica.
